Double Culvert Cleanse Whittle Brook, Penketh, Warrington
Aquajet(GB) Ltd were engaged by the Environment Agency to carry out a full cleanse of this asset recently, the Asset condition prior to the work being carried out can be seen in the photograph below;

As can be seen there was a significant amount of debris in the asset prior to the works being carried out! This is a tidal asset and this photograph was taken at Low Tide.
The assets are in a remote location directly adjacent to a live railway line and directly beneath Sankey Canal, each asset was approximately 50m in length and 1.8m in Diameter.

To facilitate these works Aquajet(GB) Ltd co-ordinated their activities with several other contractors to ensure that both their works and the other contractors works could be carried out in a safe and timely manner, to this end Aquajet (GB) Ltd had a Site Manager on site throughout the duration of the works.

Specialist equipment was deployed during the works to ensure the work was carried out effectively. Alongside this specialist Man Entry techniques were required supported by our own rescue team being on site at all times. These teams are fully trained to a level that the Environment Agency allow them to work unassisted in the field to an acceptable Safety level.

Significant groundwork was required to return the asset to the required condition prior to leaving site that included landscaping, fencing and re seeding the area.

The work was carried out to a standard that allowed the asset to operate to a successful level within the timescales allowed and within budget.
